West Bend Printing & Publishing began in 2005 as the passion project of Bryce and Angel Steiner, partnered with long time friends Steve and Sue Knapp. They had a vision of providing essential printing services to the Northwest Ohio and Northeast Indiana region, as well as providing a source of community news in the publication of the West Bend News. Founded on the motto, “Good News for Good Communities”, the West Bend News was aimed at highlighting our communities and avoiding the drama of national politics.

Hilltop Printing was founded in 1970 by Verle Harner. Originally located on Clinton St. by the river, Hilltop has been serving in the Defiance area for over 50 years! Verle handed the reigns over to West Bend Printing in September of 2026.
